Ladies and Gentlemen,
This document/information has been prepared in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing the Directive 95/46/EC - referred to as “GDPR”, “RODO” or “General Data Protection Regulation”, in accordance with the Act on Personal Data Protection, its implementing acts and the internal regulations of the Maritime University of Szczecin.
LEGAL BASIS AND PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING
Your personal data will be processed for this purpose:
- participation in training,
- exercising the right or fulfilling an obligation resulting from a legal provision,
- performance of legally defined tasks performed for the public good,
- the fulfilment of the legitimate interest of the administrator where the processing does not infringe your rights and freedoms (e.g. to pursuing claims).
The provision of personal data by you is voluntary and the consequence of not providing such data will be that you will not be able to participate in the training. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is the consent signed by you, which is attached to the participant training card.
Your personal data, provided with your consent, will be processed for the following purposes:
- contact related to the provision of the training,
- correspondence relating to the issue of financial documents,
- sending information about the TCFMO's offer.
In order to ensure the security of the data entrusted to us, we have developed internal procedures and recommendations to prevent the data from being made available to unauthorised persons. We monitor their implementation and constantly check their compliance with the relevant legal acts. We take care of technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information in our possession against unauthorised disclosure, use, alteration and destruction.
TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA TO OTHER RECIPIENTS
Your personal data will be made available to:
- authorities under the law,
- providers of information systems and IT services,
- postal operators and couriers,
- banks with regard to the execution of payments,
- entities providing services necessary for the implementation of the activity to the Maritime University.
TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD COUNTRIES
Your personal data shall not be transferred to third countries.
Your data will not be used for automated decision making, including profiling as referred to in the Article 22 of the RODO.
STORING PERIOD FOR PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data will be processed for the duration of the agreement and then stored in accordance with the Rector's order on the introduction of the "Uniform substantive list of files of the Maritime University in Szczecin". If a document is not included in this list, it shall be archived on the basis of the Act on the National Archive Resources and Archives. In the case of documents which do not require archiving, we store them until the claims are time-barred, after which they are permanently removed.
You have the right to access the content of your data and the right to rectify, delete ("the right to be forgotten"), limit the processing, the right to transfer the data, the right to object, the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing - on the principles set out in Art. 16-21 of the RODO.
You can exercise these rights by submitting a written request to the Data Protection Officer at the following address:

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the General Inspector for the Protection of Personal Data, if you consider that the processing of your personal data concerning you violates the provisions of the RODO.
